The reason I am a travel agent is, simply stated: I LOVE to travel to new and
exciting places as often as possible. I have traveled across the United States and the
throughout the world, and have lived in Europe and Asia.
I lived in Scotland for years and toured Great Britain quite extensively. I went to Lock
Ness looking for “Nessie”, attended the Highland Games and experienced bands of
bagpipes numbering in the hundreds...and ended up within 15 feet of Queen Elizabeth,
Princess Diana and the Royal Family. Saint Andrews is a must, even for non-golfers.
London was great including the Tower, where the Crown Jewels are kept when not in use
by the Queen, the Museum of Natural History, where the Magna Carta is kept along with
numerous works by Shakespeare and other famous authors, the Parade Grounds, and the
London Underground. I love France, especially Paris, the Eiffel Tower, the artist enclave
of “Place du Tertre, and the Louvre. Multiple trips to Germany including beautiful
Frankfurt, and the wine areas of the Rhine river and Munich. Austria, Switzerland,
Liechtenstein, Amsterdam in Netherlands. There's nothing like backpacking through
Venice, Italy, Milan, Florence, Volterra, Rome and Pompeii for 3 weeks. We
sometimes used Eurorail passes to travel quickly between major cities.
In the United States I have boated into Niagara Falls, watched the leaves change in New
Hampshire and Vermont, toured Lake Champlain, saw where the Wright Brothers flew
their first airplane in North Carolina, saw Stone Mountain in Georgia, the parades at
Disney World, the clean beaches and gulf waters at Clearwater, dog races and Jai-Lai in
Miami, and the beautiful Fort Walton beaches in Florida. I have been to Elvis’s
birthplace in Tupelo Mississippi, Amish country in Pennsylvania, Oprah’s studios and the
Navy Pier in Chicago, the world’s largest train switching network in North Platte Nebraska,
enjoyed a family Christmas in Tanya Tuckers former home in Colorado at 8000 feet (Lots
of snow). I spent an anniversary in Seattle and experienced my first crab boil there. Swam
in the Pacific in San Diego, gambled in Las Vegas & Reno Nevada, lived in the San
Francisco bay area, experienced the spas in Napa valley and watched otters in
Monterrey Bay. I toured the missile silos in Tucson and spent an evening on Kitt Peak
gazing at the stars with my husband.
I also lived for years in Japan and immersed myself in the Japanese culture. I toured
Tokyo extensively with my Japanese friends. I saw Kabuki in the original theater, where this
style of entertainment began. I camped on Mount Fuji, saw Japanese Warlord Castles
and went to a Shinto church. Japan is a travel experience not to be missed.
I have cruised French Polynesia visiting Bora Bora, Papeete, Moorea and Raiatea.
The Mexican Riviera, and throughout the Caribbean including Cancun, Cozumel,
Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Curacao and Grand Cayman.
Next month we're visiting an all inclusive resort in Jamaica. In November we're planning our
first trans-Atlantic cruise; sailing from Barcelona, Spain for 14 days, to New Orleans, LA
(I can get you a fantastic rate on this one!)
Bottom Line is that I love to travel and I want to help share these experiences
with like minded individuals.
If you ask me, it is time to get out there and experience life!
